a few more bits on everyday conversation cliches
There is a tendency now to thank people in a different way, rather than just to say "Thank you". This is just because people can't be bothered to say the same things over and over again and would like "to spicy up" their everyday greetings...)))
Here we are:
Fab!
Lovely!
Wicked!
Cheers.....
So instead of saying " thank you", one can simply use one from the list above.

While the C-5 was turning over its engines, a female crewman gave the G.I.s on board the usual information regarding seat belts, emergency exits, etc.

Finally, she said, 'Now sit back and enjoy your trip while your captain, Judith Campbell, and crew take you safely to Afghanistan '
An old MSgt. sitting in the eighth row thought to himself, 'Did I hear her right? Is the captain a woman? '

When the attendant came by he said 'Did I understand you right? Is the captain a woman?'
'Yes,'! said the attendant, 'In fact, this entire crew is female.'
'My God,' he said, 'I wish I had two double scotch and sodas. I don't know what to think
with only women up there in the cockpit.'
'That's another thing, Sergeant,' said the crew member,
'We No Longer Call It The Cockpit - It's The Box Office.'

Europe English
The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the EU rather than German which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, Her Majesty's Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a five year phase-in plan that would be known as "Euro-English".

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of the "k". This should klear up konfusion and keyboards kan have 1 less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year, when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like "fotograf" 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be ekspekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Governments will enkorage the removal of double letters, which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that the horible mes of the silent "e"s in the language is disgraseful, and they should go away.

By the fourth year, peopl wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v". During ze fifz year, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and similar changes vud of kors be aplid to ozer kombinations of leters.

After zis fifz yer, ve vil hav a reli sensibl riten styl. Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi to understand ech ozer. Ze drem vil finali kum tru! And zen world!

THE GAY FLIGHT ATTENDANT

My flight was being served by an obviously gay flight attendant, who seemed to put everyone in a good mood as he served us food and drinks.

As the plane prepared to descend, he came swishing down the aisle and said....

'Captain Marvey has asked me to announce that he'll be landing the big scary plane shortly, so lovely people, if you could just put your trays up, that would be super.'

On his trip back up the aisle, he noticed this well-dressed and rather Arabic looking woman hadn't moved a muscle. 'Perhaps you didn't hear me over those big brute engines when I asked you to raise your trazy-poo!, so the main man can pitty-pat us on the ground.'

She calmly turned her head and said, 'In my country, I am called a Princess and I take orders from no one.'

To which (I swear) the flight attendant replied, without missing a beat, 'Well, sweet-cheeks, in my country I'm called a Queen, so I outrank you. Tray-up, Bitch'

Hi again!
I think that a few tips for making your speech natural, one would like to use the so called linking elements. When you need to attract attention or just make others to listen to what you are going to say:
I am going to discuss 3 different points of view...
Let's turn to...
Initially, let's look at...
To begin with.../To start with....
On the other hand..
Which brings me to.../Which leads me to...
I would like to discuss..
In response to that...
Finally, we come to...
Lastly, we have...
That covers...
Overall, we see...
Therefore...
Consequently...
To conclude..
What I want you to take away from this...
I strongly recommend...
Clearly, our next stop is...

I hope that when you start using these and many other linking elements in your speech one can be absolutely sure, that your English is very good and fluent.
Good luck!

I would imagine that the info re: Blackmore's Night could be easily googled. What I personally was interested more was the author of the lyrics...as the tune is a bit pretty simple...
Nice to hear about your perfect destination of serenity and piece. I would imagine that this could be ideal gateaway for people working in extremely busy environment, like one of yours.
At the very end of the day I personally prefer just to have a cup of tea in a quiet atmosphere with almost no communication engagemnet..)))))
