Chatter, chitter-chatter, bibble-babble, tittle-tattle, gibble-gabble, fiddle-faddle, talkie-talkie, yakety-yak, twittle-twattle (типа чириканье), chin-wag (виляние подбородком), flapjaw (хлопанье челюстью), blah-blah, lip-labor, lip-work, idle talk, wish-wash.

Hello, everybody!:) How are you doing? I have a friend in Austria, a man in his seventies, who keeps sending me quite naughty jokes, the one I'm going to copy and paste here is the only one descent:)

An American lawyer and a Palestinian are sitting next to each other on

> Palestinian would like
> to play a fun game.

> The Palestinian is tired and just wants to take a nap, so he politely
> declines and tries to catch a few winks. The lawyer persists, and says
> that the game is a lot of fun. I ask you a question, and if you don't
> know the answer, you pay me only $5; you ask me one, and if I don't
> know the answer, I will pay you $500, he says.
>
> This catches his attention and to keep the lawyer quiet, he agrees to

> Now, it's the Palestinian's turn. He asks the lawyer, 'What goes up a

Two different letters there are and two only in me.

WARNING! CAUTION! NOTE:

1) ___ Hand-tighten fasteners only. The fasteners will be torqued after component is installed on the aircraft.

2) ___ Carefully align loading equipment with the aircraft door.

3) ___ Cleaning agent methyl-ethyl-ketone is flammable and toxic.

WARNING!

CAUTION!

Hi to all!
I thought that a bit of fun always works well in the thread.
Here you are:

"In the hospital the relatives gathered in the waiting room, where a family member lay gravely ill. Finally, the doctor came in looking tired and somber..

'I'm afraid I'm the bearer of bad news,' he said as he surveyed the worried faces. 'The only hope left for your loved one at this time is a brain transplant.
It's an experimental procedure, very risky, but it is the only hope.Insurance will cover the procedure, but you will have to pay for the BRAIN.' The family members sat silent as they absorbed the news. After a time, someone asked, 'How much will a brain cost?'
The doctor quickly responded, '£5,000 for a male brain; £200 for a female brain.' The moment turned awkward. Some of the men actually had to'try' to not smile, avoiding eye contact with the women.

A man unable to control his curiosity, finally blurted out the question everyone wanted to ask, 'Why is the male brain so much more than a female brain?'
The doctor smiled at the childish innocence and explained to the entire group, 'It's just standard pricing procedure. We have to price the female brains a lot lower because they've been used."

Term “ADVISORY” might be OK for flight operation procedures. I know nothing about that area.

But in maintenance (техобслуживание) documents it’s not allowed (at least in Western ones). Few years ago FAA had rejected one of my maintenance manuals because the word “recommend” was in it. FAA guy said if mechanics see "recommended", they dont't have to do this operation.

I can see that art is being discussed recently. I must say that perhaps tastes differ. I cannot admit that I like some particular artist or I do not like someone, though I would probably go for pictures.
Having said that my favourites, yet, are Monet, Aivazovski, Levitan, Korovin and Shishkin. When I was in Tretyakov gallery last summmer I quite unexpectedly discovered Grabar and his mosaic style of painting...

Good morning to all!
Good morning, Inna!
I beleieve that some way or another we all need to know what good manners stand for. It might be different from what we think they should be.
May I suppose, that what MSL meant by good manners and art was and is that if someone likes an artist and his/her style then it will be probably good manner to say something :"I think that S. is worth considering". However you are not agree with that. So keeping up appearances you would prefer to say what is expected rather than syaing what you think. It's the essence of British people, who read the Times, The Telegraph, etc...

Sorry to be a mentor and a bore the first thing in the morning:-(

Yes, you are right Inna, poor teachers.
This is the result of no disipline and these type of pupils (thugs) get away with anything they do.
Unfortunately, nowdays it happens here and there, I mean cheeky pupils and teachers with no rights at all but to try and teach them something.
On the other hand, newspapers like Daily Mail, Sun, Mirror are a bit "funny" papers and oriented on average mentality, targeting mostly housewives and people opinioniated in a certain way:-)) It's better just to ignore them as they try to sound it like sensational news without serious analysis of the situation.
